Your Wedding Ceremony is based in Randburg, Johannesburg. Nick is registered under the Marriage Act and Alison under the Civil Union Act — the applicable pathway is confirmed before booking. Together we have performed more than 4,000 weddings.

Most of the ceremonies we conduct are in Johannesburg — from large venue weddings in Sandton and Rosebank to intimate garden ceremonies in the northern suburbs, private homesteads in the East Rand, and everything in between. Pretoria, Centurion, Midrand, and the wider Tshwane area are a regular part of our week. We work across Gauteng on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.

Where we regularly travel

The Gauteng metro and its surrounds are our regular service area — Johannesburg, Pretoria, Sandton, Midrand, Centurion, Roodepoort, Muldersdrift, Lanseria, the Cradle of Humankind, Ekurhuleni, and the Vaal region. The Full Ceremony includes up to 100 km of round-trip travel from our Randburg office; for venues beyond that allowance, travel is quoted as a flat addition and confirmed before you book. No per-kilometre surprises, no calculation to do on the day.

Pretoria and the greater Tshwane area — Centurion, Hatfield, Brooklyn, Lynnwood, Waterkloof, Moreleta Park — are places we work in regularly. The drive between Johannesburg and Pretoria is part of the job, and we plan around it.

Ceremonies that fit the way you want to marry

Whatever kind of wedding you are planning, we have done it before. Four ceremony packages are available:

• Full Ceremony — a personalised legal wedding at your venue or home, with a rehearsal and the applicable marriage registration on the day.
• Mini Ceremony — a simple, ceremony-only day for up to six guests in our Craighall garden.
• All-in-One Garden Wedding — an intimate wedding for up to ten guests in our Craighall garden, with the details handled for you.
• Legal Elopement — just you, your partner, and two witnesses, at our Randburg office.

We also conduct non-religious ceremonies, same-sex ceremonies under the Civil Union Act, home ceremonies, garden venue weddings, and intimate mini ceremonies. See packages and pricing for the full list of inclusions.

What travel costs

The Full Ceremony takes place at your venue or home and includes up to 100 km of round-trip travel from our Randburg office. The Mini Ceremony and All-in-One Garden Wedding take place at our Craighall garden, and the Legal Elopement takes place at our Randburg office, so no marriage-officer travel is needed for those three packages. If your Full Ceremony venue is further out — Hartbeespoort, Magaliesburg, destinations in North West or Mpumalanga — a flat travel surcharge applies. It is agreed as a fixed amount before you book. There are no per-kilometre surprises and nothing added on the day.

For ceremonies that require flights or overnight accommodation, those costs are agreed and confirmed separately, well before you commit.

Beyond Gauteng

Hartbeespoort, Magaliesburg, and Rustenburg are destinations we travel to regularly with an agreed surcharge. Further into North West Province — game lodges, private nature reserves, destination venues — we travel by prior arrangement with enough lead time.

Mpumalanga is a separate province we reach by arrangement. National fly-in ceremonies are possible if you are planning a wedding in KwaZulu-Natal, the Western Cape, or elsewhere in South Africa. Reach out early — we need lead time to arrange logistics, and the additional travel costs are confirmed before you book.

The legal process does not change with the scenery

South African marriage law is the same wherever the ceremony takes place. A registered marriage officer, both partners present, and two adult witnesses with valid identity documents — that is what the law requires whether you marry at a Sandton venue or on a game reserve in Mpumalanga.

The Home Affairs registration is handled by your marriage officer and processed through Randburg, regardless of where the ceremony takes place. Ceremony location has no effect on this process.
